Playable all year round, Tullamore Golf Club is consistently ranked in the top 30 parkland courses in Ireland.
In 2019, the club was awarded Best Parkland course in the Hidden Heartlands by Golfer’s Guide to Ireland and ranked 21st in the Top 100 golf courses by Irish Golfer Magazine.
Recognized for it’s quality, the club has proudly hosted many significant competitions for the GUI, the ILGU and the PGA.
Tullamore Golf Club boasts a truly championship parkland setting and a course of the highest calibre. It is set amongst mature hardwood trees on the edge of the prosperous midland town of Tullamore and situated very centrally in Ireland, only 10km off the M6, only an hour from Dublin and a little more from Galway.
The redesign of the course in recent years by architect Paddy Merrigan has embellished the work of the original designer, James Braid, delightfully blending of the new with the old. It is consistently rated among the top 30 parkland courses in Ireland with easy walking terrain, a variety of holes and is enjoyed by both members and visitors alike. The visitor is guaranteed peaceful environs, splendid fairways, well-manicured rough and superb greens. The course is level and suitable for all ages and abilities.
Tullamore has hosted many major competitions for both the GUI and the ILGU over the years and it is a testament to the quality and challenge of the course that is still sought as a host for major competitions.
