We had a great day. Course was in great nick. Fantastic sunny day. Good welcome from the club when we got there. They gave us complimentary 4 ball as agreed. Unfortunately that's where the good day ended. When we got back in off the course we were faced with a closed pro shop and club house. We were not told this was going to be the case before we went out. There was 22 golfers out in our group that day, all of whom had made the hour journey to get there. Everyone was starving hungry and worked up a serious thirst on the day. We attempted to go into the hotel but there was a wedding and communion parties there on the day so there wasn't enough room for the 22 of us to go sit down and eat. So that left us having to sit outside the pro shop in the cooling evening to present the prizes for the days golf which wasn't appreciated by anyone on the day. After which everyone left for the hour drive home still hungry.

We ventured down to one of Irelands great courses last Saturday (26/07), Druids Glen.

I cannot speak highly enough of the course as it was in immaculate condition throughout. The weather held up and all of our Society had a top notch day.

I would also like to add that Jane (who looked after the Booking from Druids side) was a terrific help and really helped things to move smoothly before the event.

I would have no hesitation in recommending or re-booking Druids Glen for a Society / Corporate outing.
