Athenry Golf Club is a mixture of parkland and heathland built on a limestone base against the backdrop of a large forest giving excellent drainage and remaining playable all year round. The course is located just 5 minutes off the new M6 Dublin to Galway Motorway. Athenry Golf Club has been located at its present location since 1977, where it has been developed into a quality and highly regarded club. In 2008 the club was awarded ‘Best Presented Club’ in Connacht for that year. The clubhouse was revamped in 2007 and has a modern bar and restaurant, proshop, meeting rooms and both ladies and gents locker rooms. There are great views of the 18th hole from the bar and restaurant.
